Root’d in the 510 Dispensary: Pioneering Equity in Oakland

Root’d In The 510 Equity Weed Dispensary

Oakland’s Root’d In The 510, more than an equity weed dispensary, is a movement in the cannabis industry. By harmonizing quality, equity, and community, Root’d manifests a mission for wellness, creativity, and inclusivity through cannabis.

The Birth of Root’d

In 2018, the Cannabis License Equity Program of Oakland awarded a license to open a dispensary to Rickey McCullough, a young and expert cultivator. The goal was to compensate those disproportionately affected by oppressive drug laws, sparking the birth of Root’d Dispensary. Rickey, dreaming of a cultural force for good, gathered a team of experts and brought his vision to life, giving birth to Root’d.
