Cypress Hill’s B Real Discusses Cannabis with Joe Rogan, Covering First Experiences, Dabbing, And Why Marijuana Was Made Illegal

B Real, the lead rapper of Cypress Hill, recently joined Joe Rogan on his podcast to discuss their shared passion for cannabis. During their conversation, they covered a range of topics including their first experiences with marijuana, dabbing, and the ongoing fight for legalization.

B Real and Rogan started the conversation by reminiscing about their first experiences with cannabis.

B Real and Rogan also discussed the popularity of dabbing, which is a method of consuming highly concentrated cannabis oil. B Real warned that dabbing can be quite potent and not suitable for everyone. He emphasized the importance of knowing the potency of the product and dosing correctly. He even revealed that most rappers aren’t into it because of how it appears.

Cypress Hill is known for its authentic sound and representation of Los Angeles and California culture. B Real discussed how their blended music has always made them stand out and been an accurate reflection of the community they come from. He spoke about how they are proud of their heritage and that they want to use their platform to highlight the struggles of their people.

Marijuana Legalization and Reefer Madness

Rogan and B Real discussed the history of cannabis in the United States, and how it was criminalized in the early 20th century through propaganda campaigns like Reefer Madness. They both lamented how these misguided campaigns have contributed to the stigma surrounding marijuana. B Real spoke about the importance of education and how we need to continue to fight for the legalization of cannabis.

Demographics of Cannabis Consumers

B Real also discussed the demographics of cannabis consumers. He noted that there has been a significant shift in recent years, with more older adults and women shopping at dispensaries. He emphasized the importance of catering to these demographics and providing a comfortable environment for all customers.

B-Real’s Cannabis Line

In addition to his music career, B Real has also ventured into the cannabis industry. He has his own cannabis line called Insane, and a chain of retail dispensaries called Dr. Greenthumbs. Despite the challenges of being a celebrity-endorsed cannabis brand, B Real has managed to find success. According to Headset data, Insane sold $3.6 million in 2021, making it the 182nd top-selling cannabis brand in California.
