Detroit’s Weed Bar Awards: A Trailblazing Event Celebrating the Cannabis Community’s Achievements

In January 2023, the Weed Bar Awards took the Detroit cannabis community by storm. With the goal of acknowledging the positive impact of its members, brands, retailers, and organizations, the event attracted big names and generated buzz throughout the city. A Star-Studded Affair

Presented by STIIIZY, the Weed Bar Awards boasted an impressive lineup of celebrity presenters and performers. Al Harrington and Trick Trick were among the presenters, while the entertainment included acts from Icewear Vezzo, GT, Luniz, Snap Dogg, Nick Ryan, Willy J Peso, and Neisha Neshae. In addition, Sherbinskis’ founder Mario Guzman made a special appearance as the guest of honor.

A Night to Remember at Music Hall Center

Held at the Music Hall Center for the Performing Arts, the awards show welcomed 1,700 attendees and showcased over 15 of Michigan’s top influencers. Between 7 and 11 p.m., the audience enjoyed special performances and an engaging ceremony that celebrated the achievements of local cannabis leaders and brands.

Honoring Excellence in Cannabis

The Weed Bar Awards featured a wide range of categories, from best brands and budtending teams to cannabis chefs and events. This variety allowed the show to recognize various aspects of the cannabis industry and celebrate the ongoing progress.

The Importance of Community Support

The Weed Bar collaborated with CEP Events and The Winners Circle to create this cultural appreciation event for the Detroit community. Local sponsors played a crucial role in making the event a reality, underlining the importance of community support in promoting positive change within the industry.
