Dwyane Wade Drops an Exclusive Strain With Jeeter and Releases Book

NBA pro baller Dwyane Wade is breaking out a limited-edition line of cannabis in partnership with Jeeter.

The launch of Wade cannabis entails three exclusive strains. You’ll get Baby Jeeter mini-joints that include Fruit Punch. That’s a Sativa strain mixture of fruity, tropical highlight.  There’s also an infused hybrid, Mojilato, made from a blend of Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies and Sunset Sherbet. Finally, you have Game Over (the name comes from a poem Wade wrote), an Indica with smooth, relaxing, and clear effects.

The package is available in a book format similar to Wade’s photographic memoir, Dwayne. Expect the preroll packs to come with a copy of the baller’s memoir.

The book covers Wade’s basketball career, which started in college, and follows his life as a wine Meister who started DWade Cellars in 2012. It also covers the baller’s life as a fashion muse. Wade has a line of socks, ties, shoes, underwear, and athletic apparel. There is also a capsule collection collab with DSquared2 and a signature shoe line with Li-Ning.

Via Instagram Live, the former NBA star said, “If anybody has been following me, you guys have had the opportunity to see this amazing creation from the Jeeter family and myself.”

Wade’s pro ball career spans 16 years with the Miami Heat. He’s the owner of three NBA championship rings. The image of those rings is imprinted on the branding of his cannabis products.

Wade’s partner in the venture, Jeeter, has fast grown into a household name in Cali’s legalized ganja industry. Jeeter’spreroll brands are among the best-selling in the state. The company boosts its cred with events like the annual Jeeterday. Jeeterday is an in-store celebration that ends with a Beverly Hills event. Wade was at this year’s festivities, where attendees got a live performance from Ludacris.

Wade is one of many athletes who have set a fire under the legal weed industry. Some trailblazers include Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas and her collab with Motive CBD. Outspoken marijuana advocate Kevin Durant broke the rules on recreational cannabis use in the prohibitive world of professional sports. NBA-er Al Harrington is the mastermind behind Viola, a weed company that focuses on minority business ownership.

Wade has been quite vocal in defending athletes called out for weed smoking. He blasted the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency for banning Sha-Carri Richardson from the Olympics after she tested positive for weed. He accused many of Richardson’s critics at USADA of being smokers themselves.

Wade wrote on Twitter, “In a world where people are literally making millions upon millions growing and selling it! Y’all ever heard of a fine?”

The drop Wade and Jeeter have partnered on is available at participating dispensaries throughout Cali. Check out March and Ash, Stiiizy, Cookies, Sherbinskis, Sun Valley Caregivers, The Green Chamber, Firehouse, Mr. Nice Guy, and others.

Wade lives in L.A. with actress Gabrielle Union and their daughter. Three children from Wade’s previous relationships and one of his nephews live with the couple.
