All eyes in the entertainment industry are on the historic venture between Entertainment 360, COOKIES, and GasHOUSE. The trio is developing a one-hour, true event-inspired television drama about the world of cannabis.
Still untitled, the new show will tell the story of a pair of young entrepreneurs. The storyline will follow them from dealing with weed in its illegal days right up to the present legitimate boom. Media insiders are calling the deal and the show one of the hottest packages on the table.
Major playas in the collaboration include Felix Murry of GasHOUSE and COOKIES CEO and rapper Berner, Evan Silverberg, and Guymon Casady, both of whom worked on Game of Thrones.
Others involved in the untitled project is Eric Amadio, the co-creator of Snowfall, which is entering its fifth season on FX. Amadio will be the executive producer and writer of the new series. Amadio is also working with Common on the indie boxing drama, The Faith of Long Beach.
Christian Gudegast was the director of the box office hit Den of Thieves. The film’s sequel starts shooting in Europe this winter. Gudegast will also be an executive producer and helming the pilot.
Jeff Karam will take on the role of consulting producer.
The inspiration for the crime series comes from the life of Berner’s brother in the world of cannabis. It revolves around a two-decade journey from the days when getting caught with 10 pounds of weed could land you a life sentence and continues to today’s management of quality cannabis grown domestically in Northern California.
According to Berner, the series “will show the world the south’s and the west real influence on cannabis culture worldwide. Literal trials and tribulations and a huge range of emotions showing the bridges being burned as well as bridges being built.From the Bay to the A. The birth of and the meaning of BayTL. The REALEST, RAWEST marijuana crime series EVER!”
According to Murry, “This is something I’ve always been extremely passionate about and couldn’t have found a better team to bring this to life. …” [It’s] “about the rise of designer weed … Northern California and cities like Atlanta and Texas changed the game forever and it’s time we bring the world an authentic, real and much needed crime series.”

Berner, born Gilbert Anthony Milam Jr., has released 16 albums with Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Entertainment. He’s worked with an amazing range of artists, including Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Trinidad Jame$, and the late hip-hop artist Jacka.
There is no date yet as to where the new series will air or when it will premiere.
