Co-founders Andrés Rigal and Taylor Bazley launched Green Qween earlier this year to create a safe space within the cannabis industry and empower the queer community.

A Unique Partnership

The Hoxton Downtown L.A. has linked with Green Qween, located just across the street, to offer guests more streamlined cannabis access. The pair have launched the Green Qween x The Hoxton Turndown Service, an amenity enabling “plant-loving guests” ages 21 and older to get in-room delivery of a customized box of cannabis products daily between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Guests can select from either a Night In box, which features products with a more relaxing effect, or a Night Out box for a more energized evening.

Spotlighting Equity Brands

Green Qween’s mission is to empower the queer community through cannabis, and the dispensary spotlights products from LGBTQ-, BIPOC-, and women-owned brands. The co-founders believe that their focus on equity brands, coupled with their commitment to giving back to the community, can drive positive change. They give back 10 percent of their profits to help construct the DTLA PROUD community center.

Rigal’s background is in LGBTQ nightlife, and he emphasizes the importance of creating safe spaces for the community. “We wanted Green Qween to be a brand that uses cannabis as a vehicle to empower and change the queer community,” he says. “There’s little to no representation of queer people in cannabis.”

A Growing Trend

The Hoxton Downtown L.A.’s partnership with Green Qween exemplifies how the hospitality industry is capitalizing on the growing trend of cannabis legalization. As more states legalize cannabis, more hotels will likely partner with cannabis brands and dispensaries to provide unique experiences for guests.

Conclusion

Green Qween and The Hoxton Downtown L.A. have joined forces to launch the Green Qween x The Hoxton Turndown Service, a unique amenity that allows hotel guests to get in-room delivery of custom cannabis products. This partnership is part of a growing trend as more states legalize cannabis and hotels look for ways to provide unique experiences for their guests. Green Qween also offers equity brands from LGBTQ-, BIPOC-, and women-owned companies, and they give back 10 percent of their profits to the DTLA PROUD community center.

This innovative collaboration between Green Qween and The Hoxton Downtown L.A. highlights the importance of creating safe spaces for the queer community and driving positive change through cannabis.
