The National Diversity & Inclusion Cannabis Alliance (“NDICA”) has joined an alliance to provide services to thousands of retailers, sub-distributors, legal cannabis dispensaries, and e-commerce suppliers. Through mentorship, the goal is to educate and inspire entrepreneurs looking to succeed in the industry.
Among NDICA’s allies in the venture is Humble+Fume presented by Black Cannabis Magazine with Windship Trading Company, Windship is a leading international distributor for the cannabis industry. Humble+Fume is Canada’s premiere distributor of weed accessories to dispensaries, head shops, and smoke shops. And you know what’s what with Black Cannabis Magazine.
NDICA, focused on the cannabis industry, wants its program plans to change the narrative for diversity, inclusion, and equality. The goal is to manage a dialogue in the community and workspaces, and to expand knowledge, learning, and development. It’s about creating a long-term positive impact on the industry and its communities.
Becoming Better Allies
Looking to better balance the discrepancies between marginalized communities and the cannabis industry, the new program has its mind set on partnering with like-minded organizations. NDICA intends to promote support and awareness in order to advocate for social representation and equity.
Making a Difference
NDICA and Humble+Fume are combining forces. The trio will use their combined backgrounds in legalized cannabis to provide combined guidance and expertise to develop a greater inclusive atmosphere in the industry.
BIPOC entrepreneurs will now have a distinct avenue to fine-tune their talents and products, to learn about the industry, and to maintain enthusiasm despite the obstacles.
NDICA sees the deficiency in representation of BIPOCs in the cannabis marketplace. The new program strives to break down ethical and equitable barriers impacting the real victims of the war on drugs: people of color and their disenfranchised communities.
NDICA has chapters in Fresno, L.A., Chicago, Oklahoma City, and Columbus. Their existing programs include community outreach, internships, education, vocational training, social equity, and youth empowerment, all with a focus on marginalized individuals and communities.

The program offers select business opportunities that include participation in events like next year’s Winter/Spring 2022 industry tradeshows, business development, marketing and branding development, global distribution through Humble + Fume & @windshiptrading , and a full spread in Black Cannabis Magazine.
The submission deadline falls on September 30th, 2021, at 11:59 pm Eastern Standard Time. The program will contact selected candidates in mid-October for a video interview with their selection committee.
