Phynally Connects Job Seekers With Employers who dont screen for weed

Phynally is a search engine that solves a little-discussed dilemma: In today’s strict anti-drug business environment, applicants looking for honest work are often disturbed to discover the job requires drug testing.

Phynally helps those who enjoy or uses medicinal marijuana locate employers that won’t impose mandatory screening.

Based in Philadelphia and founded by Damian Jorden, the job posting site only lists positions that don’t subject candidates to drug testing for marijuana. The site recently went into beta mode and accepting paid postings.

You won’t find listings focused solely in Philly either, though you can certainly find them. Amazon Prime Video has listed a position for a social media manager located in Cali. Portland’s MaineHealth is looking for a cardiac catheterization lab tech.

There are also posts from UPS and Citizens Bank. Jobs include dermatologist, admin assistant, branch manager, and warehouse associate. Locate employment opportunities via job sector or location. Businesses post positions for free or get unlimited postings for $150 annually.

Revenue will come from employers looking for talent and advertising from doctors prescribing medical marijuana. Phynally plans to connect those clinicians with anyone looking for weed but does not have a medical marijuana card.

Employers can also cull through a library of resumes. Applicants can upload their resumes to Phynally at no cost. The site has gotten 7,000 resumes uploaded in the last four weeks. The applicant can even forward their resume to apply for positions listed on the site.

Phynally is a front-end platform, a database for cannabis users looking for honest and transparent work. It’s also a back-end performer, hosting employers happy to find talent capable of just doing good work.

In a world where the legal use of medical and recreational use grows rapidly, Phynally is a sensible option for job seekers looking for employment without worrying about screening for cannabis. Company founder Jorden says, “We want to engage with more progressive employers.”

The 35-year-old East Falls entrepreneur, calls the new platform a “LinkedIn for cannabis users. We want to match people with transparent employers who have transitioned out of those old policies that date back to the War on Drugs — employers who know that the future is legalization.”

With that, Phynally hopes to educate all employers of the vast human resource pool of talent that just happens to smoke weed while backing the legalization of recreational and medicinal alternatives.

Phynally is a clear push for legalization, advocating the changing attitude about cannabis consumption. A world where even the F.B.I. is modifying its rules that restricted hiring of applicants who failed tests.

The Bureau’s action is notable, considering weed remains prohibited on the federal level. That’s where marijuana remains classified as an illegal substance listed alongside LSD, heroin, and MDMA. Even the conservative voice of U.S. Supreme Court Judge Clarence Thomas is questioning the validity of the government’s stance.

Phynally is currently in the market for investors who can help the company expand its growth in states where cannabis is legal.
