Quavo has been building a new brand, and it’s not his usual forte. He is known for leading his hip hop supergroup, (the) Migos, acting in the series Narcos, Black ish, and a new movie called Takeover, and for songwriting for the likes of Madonna, Beyoncé & Jay – Z. This new venture is Legal cannabis.
A year ago, Birkinz arrived on the scene in the California cannabis industry. Paired and promoted with miniature versions of Birkin Bags and a Birkin bag giveaway. Retail stores didn’t hesitate to purchase his brand in bulk.
Birkinz, inspired by the Hermès Birkin bags, are some of the most name-dropped items in rap, with a hefty price tag of $40,000 to $100,000.
The Migos rapper spoke with TMZ Hip Hop last week and said he got the idea for the new weed strain because he just “got tired of buying the girls Birkins, so we started smoking it!!!”

Quavo teamed up with black-owned and operated Winners Circle Genetics to curate his strain. The Bay Area geneticists pride themselves on a handful of luxury cannabis strains, including Peanut Butter and Jelly and 1942. This collaboration is special because, unlike so many other celebrities who turn to corporate cannabis companies, Quavo partnered with Black men who started in the legacy market.
Birkinz, a hybrid strain clocking in at 31.2% THC is available in more than 60 retail stores throughout Northern and Southern California.

On 4/20, Quavo and Desto Dubb (of streetwear brand Cough Syrup by Desto Dubb) celebrated the pot holiday by dropping a limited-edition merchandise collab called “Awful Lot of Birkinz” and it sold out on the same day.
Desto Dubb has collaborated with many celebrities and brands, including Moneybagg Yo, Yung LB, Coi Leray, BACKPACKBOYZ, Kool Whip, etc.
Fans showed up to meet Quavo and made sure to purchase all of his new merchandise. Later in the day, they were surprised by a special appearance by Coi Leray & AB.
