Trulieve Faces Backlash For Juneteenth Promotion

Trulieve is under fire 🔥 in Florida for their Juneteenth strains and deals 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Banana Kush 🍌

Grape 🍇

Watermelon 🍉

As they try to sweep this under the rug, Twitter is not ready to let it go…

To make matters worse, when they apologized they still couldn’t get it right calling Juneteenth, the official end of slavery in America.

Official Apology:

“WE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO POSTING A

COMMEMORATION OF JUNETEENTH ON BEHALE OF OUR ENTIRE TEAM. HOWEVER, IN LIGHT OF A CULTURALLY INSENSITIVE PROMOTIONAL LINEUP SENT EARLIER TODAY, WE UNDERSTAND HOW THIS WOULD APPEAR. WE ARE CONTINUOUSLY WORKING THROUGH OUR INTERNAL PROCESSES TO ENSURE WE HAVE THE DIVERSITY OF THOUGHT

AND INCLUSIVE REPRESENTATION ON ALL OUR PLATFORMS. IT’S IMPORTANT WE FOCUS ON WHAT TRULY MATTERS TODAY, COMMEMORATING THE OFFICIAL END OF SLAVERY IN AMERICA.”

Sorry Trulieve, It’s when slaves in Galveston, Texas found out, years later!
