Urban Aroma Announces John Monopoly As CEO

Urban Aroma’s new CEO, John Monopoly, brings a wealth of experience to the table in the entertainment, marketing, and cannabis industries. With over 25 years of experience, Monopoly has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Kanye West and Missy Elliott, and has also had a hand in launching several successful brands.

Monopoly’s appointment as CEO marks a significant step forward for Urban Aroma, as they work to create a cannabis industry that supports communities who have been targeted and convicted for their use of cannabis. The N.Y-based cannabis platform is dedicated to promoting social equity, fair access, and consumption for all. They are also at the forefront of driving cannabis policy reform and community-owned businesses, through the use of music, art, activism, education, and social equity.

As CEO, Monopoly’s first priority will be to organize a series of fundraising events in New York, with funds raised benefiting various cannabis and social equity-related philanthropic organizations. These events will bring together members of the community to support causes that are important to the Urban Aroma team, and will serve as a way to raise awareness and advocacy for cannabis reform in the Northeast.

Urban Aroma’s foundation is rooted in supporting New Yorkers who have been formerly incarcerated for cannabis, through their partnership with Mission Green. This focus on social equity is central to their mission, and with Monopoly at the helm, Urban Aroma will continue to fight for decriminalization and legalization of cannabis in D.C. and across the Northeast.

In his new role, Monopoly will work closely with Urban Aroma Co-Founders M-1 of Dead Prez and artist and filmmaker Umi to continue the amazing work that the organization has been doing. He is committed to ensuring that the underground origins of the cannabis movement are respected and will continue to be part of the legacy of the cannabis industry.

With Monopoly at the helm, Urban Aroma is poised to take the cannabis industry by storm, promoting a message of social equity, fair access, and consumption for all. Consumers can rest assured that they are supporting companies that are dedicated to making a positive impact on their communities, and to promoting change across policies and ownership in the cannabis industry.

“We want to make sure consumers are aware of where they’re spending their dollars, and ensure Urban Aroma is a continued resource for those looking to support and patronize cannabis companies of color, culture, and change,” says Monopoly. With his commitment to promoting social equity and advocacy for change, Monopoly is poised to lead Urban Aroma to new heights and continue to make a positive impact on communities across the Northeast.
