Wiz Khalifa Expanding Kush Brand Into Michigan with Gage Growth

Wiz Khalifa is partnering with Gage Growth Corp. to bring his cannabis brand to Michigan.

The union is waiting for regulatory approval. But once that’sdone, Gage will develop and promote a line of the rapper’s Khalifa Kush premium weed. On his part, Khalifa plans to be involved in cultivation, branding, distribution, consumer interaction, and other operations. The products would be sold at Gage’s centers.

Of the partnership, Khalifa said, “We are excited to partner with Gage for our first expansion into the Midwest, and to finally release KK to my fans in Michigan. From day one of Khalifa Kush, we have only partnered with people we align with, who focus on customer and quality over everything, and Gage is one of the best.”

Khalifa Kush is available in pre-rolls, flower, vapes, concentrates and edibles. The strain was developed for the artist’s personal use. In 2014, Wiz decided to take the blend to the cannabis market. It would be two years before his weedfound itself on the shelves at Tryke’s Reef Dispensaries. Soon, his products would be available in Arizona, Nevada, and Utah.

Gage Cannabis provides recreational marijuana dispensaries, giving its customers access to carefully chosen adult-use cannabis products. The arrangement with Khalifa includes a license to produce and sell specific Khalifa Kush branded products. Right now, the agreement with the rapper stands for five years.

The company also has an exclusive agreement with Cali rapper Berner and his Cookies brand.
