Travis Scott and Connected Cannabis Announce Partnership

Cultivator Connected Cannabis revealed it’s teamed with Travis Scott in order to launch the rapper’s Cactus Farms. The venture is the Texas rapper’s initial foray into the weed industry.

Though only recently announced, the partnership was already in full effect. Connected Cannabis says Cactus Farms product will drop in select states this coming weekend, starting with a hybrid selected by Scott himself. One outlet for the product will be in Cali dispensaries that currently stock Connected Cannabis merchandise. Consumers will also be able to grab the strain in Arizona Harvest dispensaries.

The company reports the strain has “a dense, purple bud that releases a pungent, funky-sweet gas aroma rounded out by a unique berry twist.”

The 29-year-old Jacques Bermon Webster II, a.k.a. Travis Scott, is the king of ASTROWORLD, his third and successful studio album.

Before stardom, he self-promoted his music, flooding producer and mover emails. The hopeful artist caught the eye of none other than Kanye West. West signed Scott to a production and artist deal. It was the beginning of a career that saw Scott working with 2 Chainz, Quavo, and West.

Connected Cannabis is Scott’s latest partnership. He’s already aligned with PlayStation, McDonald’s, and Dior.

Early in 2021, Connected Cannabis announced receiving $30 million in capital to fund its cultivation and expand its brand. Teaming with Scott is the next step in developing “new, best-in-class genetics and our production of top-quality flower that has resulted in impressive growth and unwavering customer loyalty.”
